Living To Serve Him

Pastor Matthew Cox has been the pastor here at Scenic Hills since 2010. He was born and raised in North Carolina where his parents and sisters still reside. After high school, he went to Pensacola Christian College and graduated in 2005. He also received his Masters in Bible Exposition in 2006 from Pensacola Theological Seminary. Pastor Matthew met his wife Karis (a Texan!) there at PCC during their senior year and were married in August 2005. They then went to Tennessee to serve as Youth Pastor at Faith Baptist Church for almost four years. He gained very valuable experiences there and enjoyed his time working with the teenagers. It was there where he felt the Lord’s calling to become a full time pastor. Pastor Matthew and Karis enjoy raising and spending time with their six children.
